Weather Effects Of Barry Remnants

Barry Weather

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for much of the state including several counties in the listening area.

Among the affected counties are: Cleburne, Independence, Izard, Jackson, Lawrence, Lonoke, Prairie, Sharp, Stone, White and Woodruff.

National Weather Service says through this afternoon, periods of rain, associated with Barry, will continue across the region through early tomorrow. The rain will be heavy at times, with additional amounts of two to four inches expected. These amounts may lead to flash flooding.

While flash flooding will be a primary concern into Tuesday, rivers over the state will need to be monitored for additional flood potential later in the week.     MORE
