USPS The Service That Never Sleeps

On Monday, May 27, the country will mark the Memorial Day national holiday.  Post Offices nationwide will be closed that day, but we are reminding customers that the U.S. Postal Service never stops working – even on a holiday.  We continue to collect, process, sort, and transport mail 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

Whether you are paying bills, mailing those special cards, or shipping packages, stop by while you’re out and about on the long holiday weekend.  We will accept your items any time and any day – Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and even Monday – and we’ll get them on their way.  Even if your local Post Office’s retail counter is closed, you can still drop mail in Post Office lobbies or in our blue collection boxes.     MORE
