Upgraded Charges From Shooting

Roderick Thornton

Twin brothers have been formally charged in a Conway homicide.

24-year olds Rodrick Thornton and Robert Thornton, both of Little Rock, have been charged with aggravated assault and possession of firearms by certain persons in connection to the shooting that killed 18-year-old Tyreke Summage.

The two were arrested on January 4th and originally charged with suspicion of manslaughter and various other charges.

Conway Police began the investigation into the shooting after Summage was reportedly dropped off with a gunshot wound at Conway Regional Medical Center on December 27th, where he was later pronounced dead.

Detectives believe that the brothers along with the Summage fired shots at three men who were inside a Plaza Pointe apartments. At least one man inside the apartment fired back, hitting Summage.
