Area traffic accidents in Cabot, Evening Shade and Portia claim three lives.

Arkansas State Police say 33-year old Nicole Richardson, of Evening Shade, was killed early Wednesday in Sharp County.

Authorities say her vehicle exited the west side of U.S. Highway 167 and struck the north edge of the Evening Shade Bank driveway, traveling several feet in the air before striking the ground and overturning.

That accident happened at 1:15am yesterday morning.

At 11:40am yesterday in Lawrence County, an unnamed minor female was killed U.S. Highway 63 and South Crossroads in Portia.

Arkansas State Police say the vehicle, in which the child was a passenger, pulled out from South Crossroads Road to enter Highway 63 and was struck by a 2017 International Harvester going south.

Just before 10:00pm Wednesday night in Lonoke County, 28-year old Roy Beers, of Cabot, was killed when his vehicle was struck from behind causing it to leave the roadway, striking a tree and catching on fire.

Arkansas State Police say the accident happened on U.S. Highway 67 South just before exit 16.
