State Senate District 29 Race

Steven McNeely

A Democrat has jumped into the race for a vacant long standing Republican Arkansas Senate seat.

Steven McNeely, of Jacksonville, filed Wednesday to run for the remaining term of the state Senate District 29 seat, which includes parts of Faulkner, Lonoke, Pulaski and White counties.

McNeely, a workers’ compensation attorney, joins Cabot Republicans Jim Coy and Ricky Hill in seeking to fill the seat that became vacant with last month’s resignation of Cabot Republican Eddie Joe Williams, who resigned to become President Donald Trump’s federal representative to the Southern Energy States Board.   MORE
