For the first time since October, average U.S. gas prices saw a weekly rise, up 0.5 cents a gallon to $2.24 as oil prices again eclipse $50 a barrel.

Prices appear to have bottomed out and are beginning to move higher from the national average low $2.22.

GasBuddy.com reports gasoline prices in Arkansas remained steady at $1.89 a gallon in the past week.

Prices are down 14.1 cents from a month ago and down 38.9 cents a gallon from a year ago.

Average price in Cleburne County is $1.89, Faulkner County is $1.84, Independence County is $1.89 and $ 1.79 in White County.
