Sex Offender faces Child Porn Charges

Michael Blake Osburn

A Stone County convicted sex offender faces 30 counts of child pornography after investigators say they found more than 16,000 sexually explicit images of children and infants on his cell phone.

Stone County sheriff’s deputies arrested 31-year-old Michael Blake Osburn in March on a felony warrant for failing to register as a sex offender and duty to register social media accounts.

During that arrest, deputies seized his cell phone and held it until they could obtain a search warrant.

Last Wednesday, authorities executed the search warrant on the phone. According to a probable cause affidavit, the search turned up 16,675 sexually explicit images of children under the age of 14, including infants and toddlers.

A search warrant was obtained for his residence on Highway 9 South where investigators seized marijuana, computers, electronic devices, cell phones, and more digital evidence.

Osburn was booked into the Stone County Jail last Thursday morning.

Last Friday, a judge found probable cause to charge Osburn with 30 counts of possessing child pornography.

He remains in the Stone County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
