Searcy Police Get Naloxone Kits

Another area law enforcement agency has added Naloxone kits for its officers.

Searcy Police Lieutenant Todd Wells stopped by the Criminal Justice Institute on Wednesday to pick up 49 naloxone kits for his agency.

The Searcy Police Department is participating in a grant program funded by the Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas that is training officers and deputies to carry and administer naloxone, a medication that can be used to block the effects of opioids and has been effectively used to prevent deaths due to overdose.
