It was not a good night for area incumbent school board members as all lost in yesterday’s elections.
In Faulkner County, unofficial results have Ron Ussery defeating incumbent Tammy Sublett for the Zone 3, At-Large seat on the Mt. Vernon-Enola school board and Sherie Cochran defeating incumbent Tonya Hammontree for the Position 1 seat on the Greenbrier School Board.
The Conway School Mill Tax, Mt. Vernon-Enola School Mill Tax and the Vilonia School Mill Tax all passed, while the Guy-Perkins School Mill Tax failed.
In Independence County, Wesley Beal unseated incumbent Marquita Danielle Brown in the Batesville race.
In the Cedar Ridge races Adam Owens defeated incumbent Anne Moore for Zone 3 and Charlie Skaggs beat incumbent David McIntosh in Zone 6.
In the Midland School District, incumbent Margaret Milam lost to Shawn Conder.
In White County, Cale Evan McGillvray defeated Janet Hearyman for the Bald Knob School District Position 5 seat, and by just two votes, Chad Joice defeated incumbent Linda Benson for the Searcy School Board Zone 2 seat.
