Companies from all over North Central Arkansas will be sending employees to Batesville Thursday, September 20th.

The Regional Industrial Safety Alliance and the Arkansas Department of Labor will be hosting a Safety conference at UACCB. 

The agenda includes presentations from OSHA, the Department of Labor and local industry.

The keynote speaker, Ron Goodrich, is a renowned motivational speaker who relates how a devastating accident early in his career changed his life and his perspective on workplace safety.  He has served as the keynote speaker for international companies and at some of the largest safety conferences in the U.S.

The fee for attending the conference is only $25 and includes lunch.  It kicks off at 7:30 am and will conclude by 3:00 pm.  Anyone who wishes to attend is welcome.

The agenda covers many topics including medical marijuana in the workplace, OSHA fall protection requirements, hazard recognition, and forklift safety.
