Rook Sexual Assault Charges Dismissed

A Conway doctor who was acquitted of eight sexual-assault counts in 2018 had several remaining felony charges dropped Thursday in Faulkner County Circuit Court.

64-year old Robert Rook was accused of sexually assaulting female patients in 2015.

The case against him was dropped yesterday after a key witness was unable to testify.

Dr. Rook stood trial last year on 16 counts of sexual assault with a jury finding him not guilty on eight counts and not reaching a verdict on eight counts.

Prosecutors decided to re-try Rook on the remaining eight counts but when the witness couldn’t testify the case was dismissed.
