Rapert To Run For Lieutenant Governor

Conway State Senator Jason Rapert on Friday announced he will not seek re-election and will run for Lieutenant Governor in 2022.

In a Facebook post, Rapert says “It has been a true honor to serve my constituents in the Arkansas Senate since 2011 and I look forward to finishing my term in the Senate and continuing my service as Lieutenant Governor with your help – I ask for your vote and your support in 2022. In the meantime I will continue to stand strong for the conservative principles you have come to know me for and I will keep working hard for the people of Arkansas.”

Rapert says a formal campaign announcement will come after the presidential election in 2020.     MORE
