Pulaski County Sheriff Receives MLK Bible

Little Rock— On April 4, 2017, Governor Asa Hutchinson received the Inaugural MLK Bible from The College of Aspiring Artists honoring the new beginning in the state of Arkansas beyond the signing into law Senate Bill 519, by the Governor eliminating the dual holiday status and concurrent commemoration of General Robert E. Lee and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
One year later, April 4, 2018 at the MLK Memorial in Washington, DC on the 50th Anniversary of the Assassination of Rev. Dr. King, the first Bible in King’s honor, The God of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.- THE RELEVANT EXPERIENCE a commemorative bible was dedicated by the leaders and publishers.

Today, the Honorable Sheriff Eric S. Higgins is one among over 20 persons who have been gifted the Bible. It will take place in a prayer service at the Arkansas State Capitol. The program also coincides with Juneteenth Celebrations. The 45-minute program set to begin at 10 AM entitled, YOU’RE SURROUNDED, brings together pastors, ministers, prayer leaders, first responders, people of love who join in a circle of love to honor, pray and commit to a vigilant stance for Sheriff Higgins and leaders who serve and protect the great citizens in Little Rock and across the state.

This salute is being led by The College of Aspiring Artists, Joynet Radio, and the National Day of Prayer Arkansas Task Force in partnership with Sheraton Four Points Hotel Midtown Little Rock and other networks.
