National Police Week

National Police Week

In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15th as National Law Enforcement Memorial Day, and set aside that week to be recognized as National Police Week.

This year, Police Week runs from May 12th through May 18th.

In cities all across the country, Law Enforcement Agencies will conduct ceremonies during Police Week to honor those officers that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

The Pulaski County Memorial Service to honor its four deputies killed in the line of duty is tomorrow at 9:00am at 2900 S. Woodrow Street in front of the memorial monument.

The Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office will hold its Third Annual Memorial Ceremony on Wednesday starting at Noon on the north lawn at the Old Courthouse in Heber Springs.

In Conway, the Fallen Officer Memorial Program will take place on Thursday starting at 5:30pm at Simon Park.     MORE
