National Police Week

In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15th as National Law Enforcement Memorial Day, and set aside that week to be recognized as National Police Week.

This year, Police Week runs from May 13th through May 19th.

In cities all across the country, Law Enforcement Agencies will conduct ceremonies during Police Week to honor those officers that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

This morning at 11:00am at the courthouse on Main Street in Heber Springs, Cleburne County will hold its second law enforcement memorial ceremony.

Meanwhile, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office will have a memorial service to honor its four deputies killed in the line of duty.

The service will be held this morning at 9:00am at the Sheriff’s Office on S. Woodrow Street in front of the memorial monument.
