Murder Suspect Requests Change Of Venue
August 01, 2019
CrainMedia

One of two teens accused of kidnapping and killing a Faulkner County woman last year is asking for a change of venue.
Attorneys representing 19-year old Tacori D. Mackrell, of Pine Bluff, filed a motion saying in part “This case has been highly publicized to the extent that the minds of the inhabitants of Faulkner County and the 20th Judicial District are so prejudiced that a fair and impartial trial cannot be had in this county.”
Mackrell and his cousin, Robert L. Smith III, of Pine Bluff, are accused of abducting 72-year-old Elvia Fragstein, of Wooster, while she was shopping in Conway.
The two teens have been charged as adults with capital murder, kidnapping, robbery and theft of property following Fragstein’s July 2018 strangulation death.
