Crews hanging overhead signs on Interstate 440 in North Little Rock will require intermittent lane closures according to Arkansas Department of Transportation officials.

Beginning Sunday night, December 3 and continuing through Friday morning, December 8, crews will intermittently stop all lanes of traffic on Interstate 440 (alternating eastbound and westbound) between the Arkansas River Bridge and the Interstate 40 interchange for up to 15 minute intervals between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 3:30 a.m., weather permitting. The stoppages can be expected throughout the week near the off ramps at U.S. Highway 165 (Exit 7), Faulkner Lake Road (Exit 8), U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 10) and the Interstate 40/440 interchange (Exit 11).

This project is part of ArDOT’s Interstate Rehabilitation Program that is making improvements and repairs to existing Interstates in Arkansas.

Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.  Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @myARDOT.
