Lecture-Concert Series Presents Ariadne Daskalakis, Violinist

JONESBORO – The Lecture-Concert Series at Arkansas State University will present Ariadne Daskalakis, historical violinist, on Monday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Recital Hall (GPS: 2412 Quapaw Way).  This program is free and open to the public.

Daskalakis is a unique performer of both baroque and modern violin. Her recent releases of the Rosary Sonatas by H.I.F. Biber and Concertos by Kalliwoda received great critical acclaim.

In her current U.S. tour, Daskalakis is joined by her New York colleagues and leaders in the field of early music – Arthur Haas, harpsichord, and Martha McGaughey, viola da gamba.  Their program presents some lesser-known gems of the Baroque era by Buxtehude and Böhm.   MORE
