J.B. Hunt Opens Office At Arkansas Research And Technology Park

Lowell-based carrier J.B. Hunt Transport Services has opened a 6,100-square-foot internship office at the Arkansas Research and Technology Park in south Fayetteville. The research park is managed by the University of Arkansas Technology Development Foundation.

J.B. Hunt On The Hill will provide students with real-world experience within the transportation and logistics industry. Up to 60 interns per semester will have the opportunity to work with several of the carrier’s business areas, including the customer experience team, and engineering and technology. Plans for J.B. Hunt On the Hill have been in the works since January, and the office has been designed to look like J.B. Hunt’s corporate headquarters, with similar colors, furniture and decorations.

“J.B. Hunt On The Hill is unlike any internship opportunity available to U of A students pursuing a career in this industry,” said Stuart Scott, executive vice president and chief information officer at J.B. Hunt. “Through the program, J.B. Hunt will engage with some of the school’s top talent and potential future employees, and students will gain firsthand knowledge of working at a Fortune 500 transportation company without the inconvenience of having to frequently leave campus. We’re proud to once again collaborate with the U of A and develop innovative solutions that advance our industry.”     MORE
