Hutchinson Gets 2nd Term To Lead SREB

LITTLE ROCK – For the second time since he became governor of Arkansas in 2015, the Southern Regional Education Board has elected Governor Asa Hutchinson to a one-year term as its chairman.

“The SREB is a vital leader in improving education for our children from their first day in school to the day they walk the stage to accept their diploma,” Governor Hutchinson said. “The leaders of SREB understand the importance of computer science education and have been a strong supporter of our efforts in Arkansas, in the south, and nationally. I am honored for this second opportunity to serve SREB as chairman.”

In addition to his terms as chair, Governor Hutchinson also served as chair of SREB’s Commission on Computer Science and Information Technology.        MORE
