Human Trafficking Charge For Searcy Man

On June 21, 2019, the Criminal Investigation Division with the Searcy Police Department found new evidence to substantiate a new charge of Trafficking of Persons, in Violation of ACA 5-18-103 (a) (4), a Class Y- Felony. Ord’s bond reduction hearing was today June 26, 2019, and the reduction of his bond was denied by Judge Robert Edwards due to the seriousness of charges and the potential for there to be life sentences. Ord’s bond remains $200,000.

Detectives with the Searcy Police Department are urging anyone who has information or anyone who is a possible victim of John Ord to come forward with information. Searcy MAN ARRESTED on several charges including Rape

On May 17, 2019, Detectives with the Searcy Police Department arrested John Ronald Ord, age 49 of Searcy, on Rape Charges.

An adult victim came forward and reported to the Searcy Police department that Ord had sexually assaulted him from the time he was 12 years old. Detectives were able to obtain a search warrant for Ord’s residence. During the execution of the search warrant, Detectives found Drugs, Drug Paraphernalia, and Firearms. Ord’s Charges are Rape, Y Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to deliver, Class C Felony, 2 counts Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Class B and D Felony, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Class Y Felony, Use of a Communication Device, Class C Felony, and Maintaining a Drug Premises, Class D Felony. He was transported to the White County Law Enforcement Center where he is currently being held. His bond is set at $200,000.00
