Harding To Host Free Violin Concert

The Harding University Department of Music will present a concert featuring Kiril Laskarov, violinist and Concertmaster of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in the Reynolds Center Recital Hall. Admission is free.

Laskarov will be performing masterpieces of the violin literature on a Stradivarius violin. Also performing will be Jason Pennington-Saugey, associate music director and organist at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Little Rock, and Dr. Scott Carrell, professor of music at Harding.

Works to be performed include “Violin Sonata” by Edward Elgar and “Violin Sonata No. 3” by Johannes Brahms.
