Harding Earns 43 Academic All-America Honors in Decade; Most in Arkansas and GAC

SEARCY – Research done by David Sherwood of Wingate University revealed Thursday that Harding University received 43 Academic All-America citations from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) between Jan. 1, 2010, and Dec. 12, 2019.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution and must have completed one full calendar year at his/her current institution and reached sophomore athletic eligibility.

Harding’s 43 awards tied for 41st among all athletics-playing universities in the United States and Canada. It tied for 14th among NCAA Division II schools, was the most of any Great American Conference school and the most of any school in the state of Arkansas.
