Guilty In SEWCO Theft Case

Brandon Johnson

Jury deliberations lasted about 90 minutes before 27-year old Brandon L. Johnson, of Searcy, was found guilty of Class C Felony Theft of Property.

It took 30 more minutes for the jury to sentence Johnson to five years’ probation and a $10,000 dollar fine.

Johnson, a former field technician, had been accused of stealing more than $40,000 from the Southeast White County Water Association by using a company credit card for personal purchases at Lowe’s from January 2011 through April 2016.

Johnson was originally charged with Class B Felony Theft of Property.

It’s the second conviction in the public utility theft case.

Former SEWCO Manager Diana Woodle plead guilty to felony theft charges and was sentenced to seven years in prison in January.
