Governmental Meetings


Several City Council and School Board meetings are on tap today.

City Councils in Conway, Pleasant Plains and Searcy and School Boards in Conway and Greenbrier all meet today.

Among the Conway City Council agenda items: a resolution adopting the organizational rules and procedures for the Conway City Council for the calendar year 2018, Consideration to approve the nominations for the various boards and commissions and an ordinance approving a private club permit for Jim’s Razorback Pizza on Hogan Lane.

That meeting begins at 6:30pm at Roberts District Court Building, 810 Parkway Street.  AGENDA

On the Pleasant Plains City Council Agenda items include: passing a budget for 2018, the city council schedule and agenda; An ordinance for the condemnation and removal of property, houses, buildings, and structures which are dilapidated unsafe, obnoxious or detrimental to public welfare and Discussing current annexation request and progress.

The docket also sees Midland East Lab students awarded certificates of appreciation for community projects that they have been working on; Passing a resolution recognizing the Opiod epidemic in our State and engage in litigation as a member of the municipal league defense program; discussion of a nearly $63,000 matching parks grant the city has been awarded.

Tonight’s meeting begins at 6:00pm at City Hall, 100 E. Wood Street.

The Searcy City Council has its regularly scheduled monthly meeting today. The meeting is in the City Council Chambers of Searcy City Hall located at 401 West Arch Avenue beginning at 6:00PM.

Conway School Board meeting begins at 6:00pm at the administration building, 2220 Prince Street. AGENDA

The Greenbrier School Board also meets tonight beginning at 6:00pm at 4 School Drive, in Greenbrier.
