Governmental Meetings


Batesville City Council, the Faulkner and White County Quorum Courts have regularly scheduled meetings today.

New business agenda items for the Batesville City Council include consideration of the additional levy of taxes for fire pension; discussion on a possible amendment the curbside waste disposal ordinance; and reports from the police department, engineering department and the October Paid Bills.

The council will also hear from Retired Firefighters.

This afternoon’s meeting begins at 5:30pm at the Batesville Municipal Building 500 E. Main Street.

New business on the Faulkner County Quorum Court agenda includes the Legislative Audit Review and several appropriation ordinances including one for the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office and one for the Treasurer.

Tonight’s meeting, begins at 7:00pm in Courtroom “A” of the Faulkner County Courthouse, 801 Locust Street in Conway.   MEETING INFO

On the White County Quorum Court agenda are a couple of Appropriation Ordinances. One setting the tax levy for various school districts and cities located in White County as well as setting the tax levy for White County government. The second establishes the annual operating budget for calendar year 2019. There’s an emergency ordinance approving a long-term lease for a used 2018 Caterpillar Motor Grader.

The docket also sees a resolution authorizing the county judge and county clerk to enter into an agreement with White River Planning and Development District.

Tonight’s Quorum Court meeting begins at 7:00pm in the White County Courthouse in Searcy.
