Governmental Meetings


Batesville, Conway, Pleasant Plains, Searcy City Councils, Conway and Greenbrier School Boards all have regularly scheduled meetings today.

Batesville agenda items include hearing a request from Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce CEO Crystal Johnson; Consideration of a resolution approving Consent Administrative Order and authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the same; Consideration of an ordinance abolishing the City of Batesville Parks and Recreation Commission, creating a Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee and other purposes; and a Proclamation declaring October 5th as Go Pink for the Cure Day.

This afternoon’s meeting begins at 5:30pm at the Batesville Municipal Building 500 E. Main Street.

The Conway City Council has a light agenda with an ordinance appropriating funds and approving professional services for the Donaghey Avenue improvements; and consideration to accept the bid for a used articulating boom lift for the Department of Sanitation.

The docket also sees resolutions to place a lien on a couple of properties and consideration to remove items of inventory for the IT Department.

Tonight’s meeting begins at 6:30pm at Roberts District Court Building, 810 Parkway Street.    AGENDA

Among the Searcy City Council agenda items is a second reading of an ordinance that would allow a private club permit for the Rib Crib. If approved, the restaurant would join the Rock House, El Almacen and Colton’s as restaurants serving alcohol by the glass in Searcy.

Also on the docket roof replacement at the Searcy Public Library; a quarterly report from Searcy Regional Chamber of Commerce President and spokesperson for Searcy Regional Economic Development, Buck Layne; and discussion of the recently completed city employee salary analysis.

This evening’s meeting is in the Council Chambers of Searcy City Hall, 401 West Arch Avenue beginning at 6:00PM.

The Pleasant Plains City Council meeting begins at 6:00pm at City Hall, 100 E Wood Street.

Conway School Board meeting begins at 6:00pm at the administration building, 2220 Prince Street.  AGENDA

The Greenbrier School Board also meets beginning at 6:00pm at 4 School Drive, in Greenbrier.
