Former County Judge Arrested

David Sherrell

A former Izard County Judge faces felony charges of forgery, theft of property, and money laundering.

According to a bench warrant signed last week, David Charles Sherrell is accused of using his position to acquire various property including tools, a 20-ton trailer, a road grader, and a bulldozer for his personal use.

Sherrell is officially charges with Criminal use of property or laundering criminal proceeds, two counts of Second-degree forgery and Theft of property.

Sherrell was arrested Wednesday November 1st.

Also arrested on Thursday November 2nd and charged were Matthew Oliver Orf with criminal use of property or laundering criminal proceeds and Paul Stacey Shuttleworth for second-degree forgery.
