Feb. 27 Science Café — ‘Farming In The 21st Century’

LITTLE ROCK — Science Café Little Rock, co-sponsored by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), will hold its next public forum, Farming in the 21st Century, on Feb. 27. Panelists will contrast farming operations large and small as well as discuss the challenges of modern farming, crop choices, methods and costs.

Science Café will be from 7-9 p.m. at Hibernia Irish Tavern, 9700 N. Rodney Parham Road. Science Café is a relaxed opportunity for monthly exchanges with various experts. No reservations are needed, but seating is limited. Admission is free.

This month’s panel will include Chris Hiryak, director of Little Rock Urban Farming; Christine Hernandez, livestock entrepreneur with Heifer International; and Andrew Grobmyer, executive director and vice president of the Agricultural Council of Arkansas.    MORE
