El Almacen Permit Approved By ABC Board

A third restaurant has been approved to serve alcohol in Searcy.

Yesterday at the Alcohol Beverage Control Board monthly meeting El Almacen Mexican Restaurant on Race Avenue was unanimously approved for a private club permit.

The application was originally denied in August do to the public notice not being placed at the front entrance. The restaurant appealed to the Pulaski County Circuit Court, citing it was told by an ABC Employee where to place the notice. The Judge sent the case back to the ABC Board and the permit was approved.

El Almacen joins the Rock House American Restaurant and Colton’s Steakhouse and Grill as Searcy restaurants allowed to serve alcohol.
