Drug Bust

A Lonoke County traffic stop for expired tags turned into a drug bust.

Authorities say 46-year old Collin Thompson, of Lonoke, was stopped at 1:00am today near South Rockwood and Highway 5 in Cabot.  

As the suspect vehicle came to a stop, Thompson tossed out a large object on the passenger side.

Deputies discovered approximately 13 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a digital scale, and hundreds of empty plastic baggies. A bit further from the contraband was a large, glass smoking device.

The deputies placed Thompson under arrest and seized $486 in cash along with his truck.

Thompson was booked on charges of Possession of Meth or Cocaine with Purpose to Deliver class A Felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia class B Felony, Littering, and Expired Tags.    MORE
