Don’t Run…Call 911

Did you know that across the nation, 116 people die a day from opioid related overdoses?

Another startling fact is that Arkansas has the second highest opioid prescribing rate in the nation. In 2016 alone, 169 people in Arkansas died from opioid related overdoses.

In the past 18 years fatal overdoses in Arkansas have increased 300%. The average age of those dying from drug overdoses is 43.

The Joshua Ashley Pauley 911 Good Samaritan Law seeks to help put an end to this epidemic. Under this law you can’t be arrested for simple possession if you call 911 seeking medical attention for someone who is overdosing.   MORE
