CCSO 2017 Year In Review

Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office has released some interesting numbers and other facts from 2017.
Last year, Cleburne County Sheriff’s Deputies wrote 992 citations, 360 traffic and 632 criminal; Served 847 misdemeanor warrants; Made 768 total arrests; Took 1,300 reports; Served 863 civil papers; Recovered over $438,000 worth of stolen property; and Seized over $1.1 million worth of illegal drugs.
Besides all the arrest activity, the department worked alongside the Park Ranger’s in providing a law enforcement presence in our parks around the lake.
Deputies answered numerous calls of service for welfare checks, civil standby’s, property/security checks, DHS assist calls, medical standby’s, suspicious persons calls, suspicious vehicle calls, alarm calls, assist a citizen calls, and animal welfare calls, along with logging thousands of miles on patrol and making numerous traffic stops.
The department completed many hours of continuing education and participated in various training exercises.
Along with all the law enforcement action that was taken, the sheriff’s office also implemented a Jail Ministry Program and participated in community events such as the Torch Run for Special Olympics, Springfest, Ozark Trail Fest, and several county parades.
