ASU Welcome Week 2019 Gets Underway, Opening Fall Semester
JONESBORO – Arkansas State University’s Welcome Week activities get underway Saturday, with events scheduled through Friday, Aug. 23. Fall semester classes begin Monday, Aug. 19.
The Student Activities Board has arranged most of the special events for new and returning students to enjoy as they start another semester. The Honors College also has scheduled several activities, with details on the Honors College Association website.
Here’s a list of the major activities on the Welcome Week schedule:
Saturday, Aug. 17
Residence halls open for move-in day starting at 9 a.m.
Greek Life’s National Panhellenic Council sororities will culminate its week of formal recruitment at 10:30 a.m. with its bid day presentation at Centennial Bank Stadium.
Following the Red Wolves football scrimmage at 6 p.m. in Centennial Bank Stadium, students will enjoy a “grill and chill tailgate” at the Red WOLF center, from 7 until 9 p.m. MORE
