ASU Museum To Receive ‘Let’s Do Chemistry’ Activity Kit

JONESBORO – Arkansas State University Museum will receive an “Explore Science: Let’s Do Chemistry” kit from the National Informal STEM Education Network (NISE Net).

The kit, with 11 activities, is designed to promote interest in chemistry.  It should arrive at the Museum by early September, and will be used for educational activities and events during the upcoming year, according to Jill Kary, curator of education for the museum.  Kary wrote the successful application for one of only 250 kits distributed nationally.

“Let’s Do Chemistry” was developed by NISE Network in collaboration with the American Chemical Society (ACS), which funded the assembly and distribution of the kits through a grant.  ACS has a student chapter at A-State.     MORE
