Arkansas Has Fifth-Lowest Gas Prices In U.S.

The average price for a gallon of gas in Arkansas is $2.22, and it is ranked fifth cheapest nationwide, according to a report from AAA.

The nation’s top 10 least expensive states for gasoline are Oklahoma ($2.19), Alabama ($2.20), South Carolina ($2.21), Mississippi ($2.21), Arkansas ($2.22), Missouri ($2.22), Texas ($2.22), Tennessee ($2.25), Louisiana ($2.27) and Virginia ($2.27), according to AAA.

Nationwide, the average price dropped two cents this week to $2.46, with East Coast and Midwest seeing the largest drops in gas prices, according to the report.   MORE
