More Arkansans To Get Rural Broadband

On Monday, the FCC authorized $22.6 million in funding over the next decade to expand broadband to 6,582 unserved rural homes and businesses in Arkansas, representing the second wave of support from last year’s successful Connect America Fund Phase II auction. 

Next, Powered by North Arkansas Electric Company, will receive funding over the next 10 years for six counties to increase minimum internet speeds. Among those are Izard County: $5,175,805; Sharp County: $5,933,299; and Stone County: $190,869.       MORE
