A pedestrian was killed in a Wednesday night traffic accident in White County.

Arkansas State Police say 66-year old Stephen C. Favell, of Beebe, was struck by a 2018 Nissan while crossing U-S Highway 64 and Twin Lakes Boulevard in Beebe.

Authorities say the accident happened at just after 8:30pm Wednesday night.

Meanwhile, a road construction flagger was killed Thursday morning in a rural Lawrence County crash that shut down U.S. Highway 412 for nearly two hours.

Arkansas State Police say 37-year old Brendon Walters, of Paragould, died when she was struck by a vehicle just after 10:00am yesterday about 4 miles east of Walnut Ridge.

ARDOT officials say Walters was working the construction site where they are repaving the highway when she was struck and killed.
