ARDOT Area Road Improvements

The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved several bids for improvements to area roadways.

Among the projects are ones on Conway, Izard, Pulaski and Woodruff Counties.

In Conway County, the purpose of this project is to add left lanes and a two-way left turn lane to sections of State Highway 9 north of Morrilton.

Crow Paving, Inc. of Morrilton was awarded the contract at $6,467,559.67.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in late 2019.

In Izard County, the purpose of this project is to replace a bridge structure with a concrete box culvert on State Highway 223 over Little Brushy Creek.

R.L. Persons Construction, Inc. of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, was awarded the contract at $1,910,640.00.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in late 2019.

In Pulaski County, the purpose of this project is to construct a new interchange on Interstate 40 at Maumelle. Improvements will include four new interchange ramps and widening on Counts Massie Road.

McGeorge Contracting Company, Inc. of Pine Bluff was awarded the contract at $14,578,035.84.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in late 2019.

In Woodruff County, the purpose of this project is to replace an existing bridge and construct a new box culvert on State
Highway 33 near Little Dixie.

Seagraves Construction, Inc. of Pocahontas was awarded the contract at $809,127.49.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in mid 2019.
