Aggravated Assault, Fleeing On Foot
About 6:45am Sunday, the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office received a call of suspicious people around the C Jeans road area. The caller advised a white male and white female knocked on the door saying that their vehicle was stuck in a field and asked if she could help them. The two individuals left the area. Upon Deputy Danny Clem’s arrival, he was told by a local citizen that the vehicle had been pulled out of the field by a neighbor.
The vehicle was described as a white Toyota Yaris with a blue hood. Deputy Danny Clem located a vehicle matching that description in the city of England near the intersection of Hwy 256 and Fordyce st. Deputy Clem initiated a traffic stop at which time the vehicle fled.
Deputy Clem pursued the vehicle East out of the city of England for close to two miles at speeds between 75-85 mph. The vehicle then lost control and crashed near 1300 block of Hwy 165. At this time the two occupants of the vehicle fled on foot west into a wooded area. MORE
