A traffic stop in Conway County results in the arrest of three people and the seizure of nearly 15 pounds of suspected methamphetamine and over 3,000 Oxycodone pills.

Conway Sheriff’s Office officials say the Georgia residents were stopped by Arkansas State Police on Interstate 40 west of Morrilton on Monday.

One of the suspects ran, and with the assistance of State Troopers, Conway County Deputies, Morrilton Police Officers, 15th Drug Task Force Agents, Arkansas Game & Fish Commission Officers, Conway Police K9 and US Forestry K9 teams, the suspect was taken into custody when he reappeared walking on I-40.

Authorities say the seized drugs, 14.8 pounds of suspected methamphetamine and over 3,000 Oxycodone pills, have an estimated street value of over $700,000.
