UACCB Named Arkansas’s ACT Career Preparedness Exemplar

The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville was named Arkansas’s ACT Career Preparedness Exemplar for the 2016-2017 ACT College and Career Readiness Campaign.

Heber Springs 30th Annual Springfest

Third Suspect Arrested In Conway Assault


21-year old Edward Lee House, Jr. has turned himself into police in Pulaski County.

If you recall CPD had a warrant for House’s arrest for aggravated robbery. This warrant stemmed from the assault of a man outside of a Conway business. During that assault three men stole the victim’s motorcycle.

Harding Academy Wins Silver Crown


Searcy, Ark.  — The Columbia Scholastic Press Association recognized Harding Academy’s yearbook, “The Wildcat” as a Scholastic Silver Crown winner at the 93rd annual Scholastic Convention on March 17 in New York.

“Our yearbook staff worked with great passion and intensity and did a marvelous job,” said Superintendent James Simmons. “I am so pleased they are seeing their efforts receive great commendation.”

Once Upon A Time

Searcy, Ark. — Seven Harding University students will present opera scenes as part of an opera workshop class at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, in the Reynolds Recital Hall. The hour-long performance titled “Once Upon a Time” features stories about fairy tales from opera and musical theatre.

All-Star Cheerleading Showcase


This Sunday sees the Gym Stars Diamond All-Star Cheerleading Showcase.

The Junior 2 Jagers and Senior 3 coed ICE teams won bids to The Summit which is a National Championship for All-Star cheerleading in Orlando, Florida, with featured performances on ESPN Wide World of Sports.

Rutledge Mobile Office


LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge today announced mobile office locations for April.

Attorney General Rutledge created the mobile office initiative during her first year in office to make the office accessible to everyone, particularly to those who live outside the capital city. In both 2015 and 2016, office hours were held in all 75 counties assisting nearly 1,300 Arkansans.
